About USTSHS STEM CAMP 2017.
Organized by the USTSHS STEM Strand, in cooperation with the USTSHS STEM Society, STEM Camp 2017 aims to inspire STEM students and teachers through various hands-on activities and lectures in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Through the STEM camp educational experiences, the participants are expected to be engaged in pursuing STEM-related careers in the future. Different lecture, demonstration, and hands-on sessions will be facilitated by guest speakers and lectures composed of STEM-students and STEM-professionals such as scientists, engineers, computer experts, etc.
UST SHS STEM Camp aims to:

inspire STEM students to pursue STEM-related careers;

prepare STEM students for STEM-related career opportunities;

discuss STEM-related concepts and skills among the participants;

nurture creativity and innovation from among STEM students and teachers;

provide an avenue for STEM teachers to share and learn best practices;

introduce innovative STEM pedagogies to STEM teachers; and
-
build a network of STEM students and teachers that foster support for each other.
